I am as mad as Hell!
WE
are looking for
activist, militant,
protest artworks
for a collective Art exhibition called: I am as mad as Hell!
Submited
artworks could be: paintings, sculptures, clothing, fanzine and much
much more (as long as it is relevant). It could be for a cause or
against somethings. It could be about ecology, political or social
issues, about woman, lgbt or aboriginal rights, and many other
subject.
The
motivation for this collective exhibition is our feeling (we the
galerist) that people are at their wits end, that they are sick and
tired of beeing abused, sick and tired of being ignored. And we
thought that the cult scene from Sidney Lumet's movie « Network »
perfectly summarize our concept for this exhibition, mainly that we
should not wait to have the answer to adress the problem, we must
first express our frustration, our anger about what we perceive to be
unfair, unequal, dishonest or detrimental for our world.
Through
history art has been this catartic tool that gave voice for people
who had none, and art was also able to change the way people think.
We encourage you to watch the scene from « Network » that
inspired our exhibition.
We
have also created an images album to guide and inspire you. We
strongly encouraged you to look at it to fully grasp what we are
aiming at.

Quebecness

an up-coming collective art exhibition we are looking for artworks
that celebrate our Quebecness (québécitude in french). In other

historical heroes, our good side and our quirks.
We
are as interested to see serious work like classical landscape and
portraiture of historical character as we are of seeing
humourus self depricating creation where we make fun of
ourselves and our culture.
Here
are some angles you could exploit
